Bermuda is an Island and the oldest and most populous remaining British overseas territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. The island has 103 km of coastline. The capital of island is Hamilton; Hamilton is Bermuda’s main port. Bermuda is world’s 224th island with 53.2 km square total area. According to 2007 estimate, the country has 66,163 population, ranking 205th in the world. Bermuda is divided into nine Parishes (local church or subdivision): Devonshire, Hamilton, Paget, Pembroke, Saint George's, Sandys, Smith's, Southampton, Warwick; and two municipalities: Hamilton (city) & St George's (town). The territory also has two villages Flatts & Somerset. Bermuda enjoys the third highest per capita income in the world, more than 50% higher than that of the US.The Economy of island depend upon tourism & financial services. Bermuda has a highly-developed international business economy. Bermuda's industrial sector is small, although construction continues to be important; the average cost of a house in June 2003 had risen to $976,000. Agriculture is limited with only 20% of the land being arable.
