Barbados is a Island country, situated in east of the Caribbean Sea in western Atlantic Ocean. The highest point in the country is Mount Hillaby in the parish of Saint Andrew. The country’s capital is Bridgetown; Bridgetown is the largest city of Barbados. Barbados is world’s 199th country with 431 km square total area. According to 2006 estimate, the country has 279,000 population, ranking 175th in the world. Barbados is divided into eleven administrative parishes; Christ Church, Saint Andrew, Saint George, Saint James, Saint John, Saint Joseph, Saint Lucy, Saint Michael, Saint Peter, Saint Philip and Saint Thomas. The economy of country depends upon agriculture and tourism. There are large sugarcane estates in Barbados. Cricket is the favourite sport of Barbados and other sports which are popular includes golf, Basketball, volleyball, Netball, hockey, table tennis, road tennis, football, rugby, polo and swimming.
