Angola is a country in south central Africa surrounded by Zambia, Namibia, Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Atlantic Ocean. The country’s capital is Luanda; Luanda is largest city of Angola. Angola is the world’s 23rd largest country with 1,246,700 km square total area. According to 2007 estimate, the country has 16,941,000 population, ranking 59 in the world. Angola is divided into 8 Provinces (States) and these provinces are further divided into 163 municipalities. The economy of country depend upon its oil production. The country is the second-largest petroleum and diamond producer in sub-Saharan Africa, yet its people are among the continent's poorest. Thr ethnic group includes Ovimbundu, Kimbundu, Bakongo, mesticos, European and others. Education is compulsory in Angola and is free for 8 years.
