Andorra is a small country in western Europe and is surrounded by Spain and France. It is situated in the eastern Pyrenees mountains. The country’s capital is Andorra la Vella located at an altitude of 1,409 metres; Andorra la Vella is the highest capital city in Europe and a popular ski resort. Andorra is the world’s 196th country with 468 km square total area and is the sixth smallest nation in Europe. According to 2007 estimate, the country has 71,822 population, ranking 194 in the world. The country has 7 parishes, Andorra la Vella, Canillo, Encamp, Escaldes Engordany, La Massana, Ordino and Sant Julia de Loria. The economy of country mainly depend on tourism. It is estimated that about 9 million tourists visits this place every year. The main attraction of this place are its summer and winter resorts. Andorra is a low tax or no tax country, so due to its duty free status, tourists get attracted to this place. The country produce many natural resources like hydroelectric power, mineral water, timber, iron ore, and lead. Farming is limited in Andorra, most of the food is imported. Banking sector is also imposed with lower tax rates or tax free, thus contributing to the economic growth of the country. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Andorra has the world's longest life expectancy at an average of 83.5 years at birth. The ethnic group of country includes Spaniards, Portuguese, French, Britons, and Italians.
